As its English translation says as “the hearts met”, Dil Mil Gaye is one of India's most followed drama series on television specifically aired on the country's premier television channel STAR One. The soap follows a very interesting plot which portrays the lives of Sanjeevani hospital resident physicians and surgical interns. The storyline involves mixtures of excitement with the intertwining circumstances of the main characters of the series as they deal favorably on pressures, romance, with a touch o of drama, interpersonal relationships and more importantly with a twist of humor and comedy. The show comes in two seasons with the first season had its take off with the introduction of the hospital's 5 surgical interns having Dr. Riddhima Gupta on the leading role as the protagonist of the story. Together with her is her sister Dr. Anjali Gupta, Dr. Sapna Shah, Dr. Atul Joshi, and Dr. Armaan Malik who happens to be Riddhima's love interest though they started not so well. Love was really in the air after Atul had fallen in love to Riddhima's sister—Anjali. Dr. Sapna Shah left the hospital after deciding to settle down. Much of the thrill is again amplified with the appearances of new interns which gave the love story of the main characters a taste of hurly-burly and complexity. On the other hand, in the second season as its sequel, it was again welcomed with the introduction of 5 new interns namely Dr. Jitendra Prasad, Dr. Naina Mehta, Dr. Yuvrav Oberoi, Dr. Tamanna Patil, and Dr. Siddhant Modi who was then the new love interest of Riddhima when she returned to the hospital. Just like in the first season, the hospital was again filled with the ambiance and atmosphere of love with Naina and Yuvraj falling in love with each other. Siddhant on the other hand had a special feeling with Tamanna but was denied as Tamanna made Siddhant realized that what he feels for her was just a mere crush and not true love definitely. It was Riddhima and Siddhant who ended lovers after a rough start and misunderstandings. They got married when Armaan returns to the hospital making the life of the main character and her husband harder. Despite that, they were still able to save their marriage with Dr. Armaan moving forward with his life. The twists and unique storyline of the soap made it very popular in the country. A vast percentage of the people in India get themselves to watch the show every day. With the hype it made to the masses, several stores and stalls in the country showcase their own variations of Dil Mil Gaye. Everybody wants to reminisce and brings back the memories of the show with a Dil Mil Gaye Wallpaper posted in their walls and bed rooms.
